Congressman Mark Green (R-TN), Chairman of Homeland Security Committee, spoke to Brian Kilmeade about the need for congress to look into what the FBI knew and did not know when it came to Shamsud-Din Jabbar’s terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Eve. Green pointed to how there was much more human intelligence after 9/11 oriented on potential terrorist threats, particularly Islamic threats like Jabbar, by having people in mosques and in communities gathering intel. Green pointed to President Obama for pulling back on human intelligence.
Green also spoke about Donald Trump and the Panama Canal. Green agrees that Panama and other countries are taking advantage of America and abuse us despite the United States proving them security and freedom. On Greenland, Green said, “If we can strike a deal with Greenland, let’s strike a deal with Greenland, whatever it looks like.”
When asked about Tom Suozzi and if there are a growing number of moderate democrats like him, Green responded that Suozzi is a different kind of Democrat, and ‘a unicorn in the party’ who wants to work to secure the border. Green would not use him as an example of a massive movement amongst the Democrat party because they will still work actively against Donald Trump’s nominees and they have a plan to be as disruptive as they were the first time around.
Plus, Green on the wild fires in California and how it is a reflection of liberal polices not working.
