Shelby Steele: “White Guilt” is Responsible for Kamala Harris’ “Entire Career”
Shelby Steele, the Robert J. and Marion E. Oster Senior Fellow (adjunct) at the Hoover Institution and author of Shame: How America’s Past Sins Have Polarized Our Country, joined The Guy Benson Show to analyze a striking poll revealing that white progressives now view America’s foundations as more racist than many minorities do themselves. Steele and Benson also explained why the 2024 election marks a pivotal shift as the black vote moves to the right, signaling that it can no longer be taken for granted by the Democratic party. Steele also argued that the BLM movement is becoming increasingly fringe as black Americans recognize their exploitation by white progressives, and you can listen to the full interview below!

Dr. Steele had this to say on Kamala Harris’ loss in the 2024 election:
“The sad truth is that the this moral argument still stands and still is is quite appealing and is a major force in politics. Almost everywhere you look, you see Kamala Harris run for office as well. It is the sort of moral power that the whites get from supporting a black woman. That is responsible for her entire career. Nothing else is. There’s no special talent there. There’s no inside or there’s nothing there except the fact that her skin is is dark. She’s a black woman. And so therefore, half of America feels that’s enough to to vote her into office. And. Well, so there we see it. White guilt is also white power.”
