Florida Republican Congressman Byron Donalds joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on how he knew there was a groundswell of support for President-elect Trump in the months leading up to his resounding electoral victory.
“I think people, and it wasn’t just at the rallies, the rallies were epic and the energy was off the charts. It’s when you’re in restaurants, it’s when you’re in airports and you’re just traveling, you’re in an Uber. People start asking you questions, you know. I knew we were in great shape when Black guys were stopping me in airports and saying hey, we’re with you. That’s when I saw Black guys and Hispanic guys being like man, we’re with you. We’re with Trump. That’s when you really knowing that you were in a special spot. And so that’s why I agree with you. You’re not seeing these big protests all across the country because, number one, I mean, look, the Democrats just got beaten. They got take it to the woodshed. It was a disaster for them. Big disaster, election night, annihilation of epic proportions. There’s nothing to protest for because they don’t have a functional party with a coalition behind them. Donald Trump has a political mandate, not just he won the presidency. He has a mandate. They know it. We know it. And the American people are sick and tired of it. They had enough. They want real change. And Donald Trump is going to do it.”
Jimmy and Rep. Donalds also talk about the cabinet appointments Trump has made so far for his next administration. Listen to the podcast to hear what else they discussed!
