Evening Edition: Afghan National Accused Of Election Day Terror Plot

The Department of Justice this week announced the arrest of an Afghan national who has been accused of plotting terror attacks on Election Day gatherings. 27-year-old Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, who had worked arrived in the United States in September of 2021, just weeks after American troops pulled out of Afghanistan. He was arrested after purchasing weapons and ammunition for the planned attack from an undercover law enforcement officer.
