Shannon Bream on Presidential Battlegrounds, The Union Vote, & A Looming Shutdown Deadline

Vice President Harris edges out former President Donald Trump in the latest FOX News poll. She leads the former President by two points now, yet Trump was ahead by one point the month before. The race will most likely hinge on a handful of battleground states. Shannon Bream, anchor of FOX News Sunday, joins the Rundown to discuss the latest poll results, the Teamsters Union choosing to endorse neither candidate, and the need for a government funding bill.

The United States has been in the grips of a drug crisis, exacerbated by the pandemic and fueled by fentanyl trafficked into the nation through the southern border. While overdose deaths had increased in the past few years, a bright spot has been reached as the nation saw its first decrease in overdoses in decades. Former U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Jerome Adams, joins the Rundown to discuss the recent decrease in overdose deaths, why he credits greater awareness and de-stigmatization of addiction for lowering overdose mortality rates, and what more can be done to continue this  positive trend.
