Brett Tolman: This Could Be Trump’s Prosecution’s “Death Knell”
Brett Tolman, executive director of Right on Crime, founder of the Tolman Law Group, and former U.S. Attorney, joined the Guy Benson Show to update Guy and his audience on the latest from the Trump trial. Tolman discusses what is next for the trial jury instruction and deliberation is soon to commence, and Tolman gives his predictions on how the jury will decide. Tolman had this to say on the potential “death nail” to the prosecution’s case:
“You don’t have evidence. Even Michael Cohen indicates that he took it on his own to do that, but then later tried to suggest that during a 96 second conversation, that was where they confirmed that Donald Trump, you know, was wanting this done, that, even regardless if the jury were to buy the prosecution side of all that, I understand the judge is about to issue or has issued a jury instruction that will say if the payment to Stormy Daniels would have happened regardless of the election, then it’s not election campaign contribution.That’s the death knell of that case.”
