Special Counsel Hur Lands In Capitol Hill Hot Seat
Tuesday’s five-hour-long House Judiciary Committee hearing saw Special Counsel Robert Hur placed in the hot seat for his decision to recommend no charges for President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle grilled Special Counsel Hur, as comparisons were made between President Biden’s and former President Trump’s documents cases. FOX News contributor and former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy joins the Rundown to discuss key parts of Special Counsel Hur’s testimony and why he believes the comparisons between President Biden’s case and former President Trump’s case are misguided.
In January, an Alaskan Airlines flight made headlines after a door plug blew off during the flight, causing panic and major safety concerns. Following the incident, 33 of the 89 audits conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration failed, propelling Boeing back into the hot seat. Aviation expert and President of Boyd Group International, Michael Boyd, joins the podcast to discuss the recent audits, share why the FAA is also at fault for the manufacturer’s oversights, and explain why air travel continues to be the safest mode of transportation in the country.
Plus, commentary from former Vice President Mike Pence.Â
