Evening Edition: National Guard Sent To Protect NYC Subways

New York State Governor Kathleen Hochul announced this week that members of the National guard and the New York State Police will be bolstering the NYPD to help protect subway stations across the city. The move comes after a spike in violent crimes has plagued the train system in the opening months of the year. Reactions have differed with some saying ‘its about time’ and others calling for changes to bail reform and the prosecution of criminals as the real answers.
