As cities try to cope with crime across the country, those efforts are being hindered by the nationwide police shortage. In Louisiana, the problem is bad Governor Landry has recently declared a state of emergency to address his state’s severe law enforcement recruitment problem.

Mauro also reacted to Police departments who have had to lower recruitment standards in an attempt to drum up interest in becoming a cop.
