North Carolina Republican Congressman Greg Murphy joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to explain why the House GOP conference voted on Friday to drop Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan as its speaker nominee.

“You know, if he was making progress, I’m happy to continue voting for somebody that’s making progress, but he was not. And in fact, he was losing votes. And sadly enough, some of the shenanigans that occurred to some of the members who were not going to vote for Jordan like Drew Ferguson down in Georgia, is just absolutely unbelievable. The death threats he got, his family. This is nonsense. And these people just need to stop that absolute idiocy. And so, I mean, Jim, great job. But, you know, once you have that and you’re moving in the wrong direction, it is time we go in a different way. You know, when I do surgery and if I’m losing blood in one part of the belly, pack it off and move to another one so you don’t keep on trying where you’re losing.”

Rep. Murphy also talks about how he is confident the House will elect a new speaker next week. Listen to the podcast to hear what else he had to say!
