Johns Hopkins University health policy expert and surgeon Dr. Marty Makary joins Fox Across America With guest host Harry Hurley to explain why he believes the Biden administration is rushing the rollout of the latest COVID-19 vaccine.
“This is different from the previous vaccines. It was designed on a variant that circulated earlier this year called the XPP Variant. And they’re going to recommend it for every single American over age 12, regardless of natural immunity. The CDC has got their meeting lined up in ten days. The FDA is expected to approve it before that meeting, and they’re going to push this thing hard. And we have no human outcomes clinical data on this new vaccine whatsoever. So I think before we start pushing this vaccine, we should see some clinical data. Pfizer made $100 billion on their vaccine and COVID treatments. They can afford to do a little clinical trial to show us that it works. Right now, we’ve got this crazy process where Biden said last week that the new vaccine, which has yet to be FDA approved, that it works, that it’s necessary. FDA hasn’t even approved it yet. Is this our new process? There’s a cozy relationship with private meetings behind closed doors between Pfizer and Moderna and the White House, and then they tell the FDA to approve it with no clinical data. I mean, this is making a mockery of the scientific process and our FDA regulatory process. Imagine if this had been under another administration. Just imagine the outrage.”
