Evening Edition: D.C. Councilman Suggests Using The National Guard To Fight Crime

In a passionate press conference alongside residents who said they are scared, D.C. Councilman Trayon White suggested it may be time to call in the National Guard to fight a rising number of violent crimes in the city. More than a dozen people have been killed in our nation’s capital since the beginning of the month along with skyrocketing number of car jackings. FOX’s Ryan Schmelz speaks with Rich Edson, Fox’s Senior National Correspondent and Washington D.C. resident, about this idea and whether or not the National Guard could be used to combat crime.
