Cocaine Sharks
Could sharks in the Florida Keys really be strung out on cocaine?
No, this is not a movie plot.
I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.
As if the ocean’s apex predator wasn’t scary enough, get this, sharks in Florida’s coastal waters could reportedly be ingesting cocaine dumped into the ocean by illicit drug traffickers.
This is the subject of a new Discovery Channel documentary aptly titled “Cocaine Sharks.”
Researchers can’t 100% confirm this phenomenon but note that with the copious amounts of drug dumped in the ocean thanks to traffickers and smugglers, there is a good chance sharks are sinking their teeth into some of it.
Using fake cocaine bales and highly concentrated fish powder to simulate this phenomenon, scientists noticed an increase in hyperactive shark behavior.
Whether or not real drugs dumped at a sea could alter shark behavior is the subject of this Shark Week special and I, for one, cannot wait to watch.
Perhaps after these scientists get done examining drug dumps in the Florida Keys, they could make their way over to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave and solve the White House cocaine baggie mystery….
Now that’s a Discovery special I’d like to see!!
