California Homeless Crisis Continues
A new report shows California’s homeless crisis isn’t getting any better.
You’re shocked I know.
I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.
Here’s some not so breaking but still disturbing news, California’s homeless population accounts for one-third of the country’s homelessness though the state is only home to 12% of the nation’s total population.
This, despite taxpayers forking over money hand over fist to this crisis and yet, nothing is improving.
Experts point to the cost of housing in California and that’s part of the problem, but the other is this “homeless culture” the state has proudly cultivated.
I know because I lived in LA for several years and saw it firsthand. The state’s homeless residents aren’t just down on their luck, many of them have grown accustomed to the homeless lifestyle and don’t want to do anything to change it.
Many are pitching tent cities on oceanfront property, getting free meals, free needles and not much incentive to rock the boat.
Mental illness is a big part of the problem, but so is the lawless free-for-all culture that’s been created and sustained.
This isn’t a funding issue folks, it’s a culture issue.
