Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give her take on the backlash Bud Light has received for celebrating transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney’s “365 Days of Girlhood”.
“This whole situation is amazing to me. The people who are running these corporations, like the vice president of marketing. Her name’s Alissa . She’s the one who apparently made this decision. And it’s not that she said something like, hey, we want to, as a company, expand our market to this new group of people in America, the transgender movement. So we’re going to market to them, or we’re going to try to come up with new products for them so we can make more money. Because then you would be keeping your current clientele and expanding it, right? Instead, she decided to insult the brand and the people who buy it by saying things like, it’s too fratty. It’s too male, it’s too white male, essentially. It’s too poor humored. It’s not inclusive enough, which that that translates to it’s bigoted. The people who buy Bud Light are bigots and we are trying to change that by forcing someone like Dylan Mulvaney onto the brand. Now, that’s her take, right? They are seeing the consequences of this. The other part of this that people aren’t really talking about and they’re actually like this is just a decision being made by the brand and this woman, which it is. But the Human Rights Campaign actually rates companies based on how inclusive they are in terms of their branding and their influencers. And that’s why you’re seeing people like Dylan Mulvaney everywhere representing brands that are completely detached from their audience.”
