Former NYPD inspector Paul Mauro joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his assessment of why Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg decided to go forward with pursuing a case that ultimately led to the indictment of former President Trump.

“This case, I know it’s being reported on nationally and is considered a big, big national even international case. And of course, that’s because of who the accused is. But this case, I know what this is. This is a New York thing. This is Alvin Bragg, who is on the ropes. He’s into his second year of his being the prosecutor here in New York. And his numbers, I’m sure, are way down. He’s probably done some polling. People were against him as soon as that day one memo came out. The city looks like hell. He knows that his prospects, unless he hits a reset here at some point, are beyond the point of no return. And he’s going to be a one term prosecutor. Now that seat is notorious for having longtime prosecutors. You know, it’s only the most committed vote. So you had Morgenthau , who was the longest serving D.A. in New York City history. After that, you had Vance for three terms. And it’s almost default that it’s yours as an incumbent. He’s the first guy, in my experience, who almost certainly was going to be shown the door.”

Plus, Paul and Jimmy talk about why it’s important for law enforcement officials to make the Nashville school shooter’s manifesto public. To hear what else he had to say, listen to the podcast!
