Democratic strategist Kevin Walling joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share his thoughts on a recent assertion by Minnesota Congressman Dean Phillips that there needs to be a healthy competition for the 2024 Democratic nomination, instead of just having President Biden running essentially unopposed.

“I’m sure some people have private thoughts about that that they’re not going to share publicly, similar to what you’re seeing probably at CPAC this weekend, you know, with Trump out there and stuff like that, that those same folks don’t want Trump to be the nominee, but are out there gung ho for him just because they have to toe the party line. But I look to the midterm elections, and President Biden beat back a lot of expectations and did pretty well. We expanded our Senate majority and barely lost the House. And I think that was, a lot of Democrats going into the midterms thought, okay, this guy’s too old, out of touch, still talking about bipartisanship, all this kind of stuff, and realized, okay, maybe he knows what he’s kind of doing because he’s been at it for 50 years. And we had a better than expected midterm election, which quelled a lot of even that private thought about Biden 2024.”

Plus, Kevin and Jimmy talk about the Biden administration’s response to last month’s train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio. Listen to the podcast to hear what else he had to say!
