Rep. Wesley Hunt: There’s Nothing Racist About Wanting To Have A Secure Border

Texas Republican Congressman Wesley Hunt joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on how the Biden administration has completely failed the people of our country by not enacting stricter immigration policies.

“The number one responsibility for our federal government is to keep our citizens safe. Number one. That’s what we go to Washington and do every single day. And if you’re telling me that we lost 100,000 people through fentanyl overdoses just last year. Enough fentanyl has poured into our country to kill every American five times, and the only thing the Democrats have to say is, well, that’s racist. And it’s racist because we are targeting Brown people. That’s ridiculous. It has nothing to do with race. They have to stop making race a scapegoat for everything and realize that we have a problem at our southern border that’s killing Americans and fentanyl does not care which race, religion, color or creed is. And me being a Black man on Judiciary, I’m going to hold them accountable for that and to stop allowing them to use race as the scapegoat for everything. And we have got to start saving American lives yesterday.”
