Rep. Byron Donalds: Certain People Clearly Didn’t Want SBF Testifying Before A Congressional Committee
Florida Republican Congressman Byron Donalds joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his take on the shady business dealings of disgraced former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried.
“This thing with FTX and Sam Bankman-Fried is about fraud. He took in their money. He used a bunch of that money that the people did not take out of their crypto wallets. They took that money and bought a different token that he was selling in a sister firm. And then he was borrowing money off the value of that thing and then spend that money all over the place. That’s fraud. It doesn’t have anything to do with Cryptocurrencies. That’s just somebody who is misusing simple accounting practices. I was asked earlier this morning, well, what’s the new regulation Congress is going to put in to make sure this never happens again? There is no new regulation. Those laws are already on the books. The issue is nobody found out until it was too late. And that’s the problem here.”
