Tudor Dixon: Michigan’s Education System Has Taken A Major Hit Under Gretchen Whitmer’s Leadership
Michigan Republican gubernatorial nominee Tudor Dixon joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on how Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer is putting the concerns of teachers unions above needs of students in her state.
“Michigan is in the bottom ten in the nation. And Gretchen Whitmer has not said anything about what she would do to get the education system back on track, to make sure that the kids have a future. She doesn’t talk about reading. Our reading scores are in the tank. Nearly 60 percent of third graders failed this past year. We are in trouble when it comes to the kids, but the focus is on the adults. And you know why? Because the adults are the ones that are funding their campaign. You have the teachers union putting $1,000,000, probably more, into Gretchen Whitmer’s campaign. So she’s of course going to come out and hold their water and say, it’s okay, we’ve got to take care of the adults. Now, on the contrast, we are fighting a machine. I mean, we are truly fighting a money machine on that side.”
Tudor also talks about why she wants Michigan’s schools to get bac to the basics of teaching, reading, writing and math. Listen to the podcast to hear what else she had to say!
