A Swing District Showdown Is Happening In New Jersey
Many state elections are projected to have a huge impact on Washington this midterm season, especially those taking place in competitive swing districts. In New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District, Rep. Tom Malinowski has had to fight hard to keep his seat, winning by fewer than two points in 2020 after initially flipping the seat from red to blue in 2018. Republican Congressional candidate Tom Kean will be facing off against Rep. Malinowski this Midterm election in a race many will be watching closely. Kean joins the Rundown to discuss why he believes he can turn New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District red again in November, what concerns he is hearing from voters on the campaign trail, and why reducing excess spending in Washington will be one of his key priorities if he’s elected.
