Cassy Garcia: Biden’s Student Loan Handout Is Ridiculous And Outrageous

Republican nominee for Congress in Texas’ 28th District Cassy Garcia joins Fox Across America With guest host Sean Duffy to shed light on the unfairness of the White House’s recently unveiled student loan forgiveness plan.

“I went to college in the district, local, University of Texas Pan American, now known as UTRGV. And I’m still paying my student loans, so I know how hard it is to repay them. But this is wrong, and it’s a bad policy for our community. It is also incredibly regressive. Mechanics, teachers and bodega workers shouldn’t be bailing out Harvard Law alums to the tune of $1 trillion over the next ten years. We should be reforming the broken student loan system, not pouring more gasoline on that fire. And yesterday I was doing an ice cream social in Duval County and talking to the voters. They were outraged. They were upset. Many of them have already paid off their student loans. I chose not to go to an elite school. My parents couldn’t afford to send me to college. So I thought I’d do the responsible thing and take out student loans, what I could use. And I’m still paying off my student loans. So I think it’s ridiculous. And it’s just one failed policy after another. And I think it’s just outrageous.”

Cassy also tells Sean why a significant amount of Hispanic voters are leaving the Democratic Party. To hear what else she had to say, listen to the podcast!
