Listen To The Full Interview Below:
Bill Melugin, National correspondent for @foxnews based in L.A joined the Guy Benson Show to detail he latest reporting on the crisis at the southern border, as thousands of migrants continue to illegality cross into America.
Melugin detailed his reporting saying,
“I told my producer, I said, look at that. And then there was a clearing in the trees and we saw all these people start walking towards us. So we knew there was a big group heading our way and then all of a sudden out of the tree line, hundreds of people just start popping out of the trees led by cartel, uh, smuggler guides, and they just start getting into the water in a long conga line that went on for, like, over 10 minutes. Hundreds upon hundreds of people. Broad daylight. No Border Patrol anywhere. Just walking right across the river and walking into Texas. There were when they first came across, there were literally only two Texas National Guard soldiers there. That’s it. It was one of the biggest groups we had ever seen.”
Melugin added,
“As we continue to hear from the administration that the border is closed or that there’s operational control or they tell migrants not to come, it’s just it’s not true. It’s not working. None of their policies are working and it’s just getting worse. And Guy, it’s like 108 degrees when we shoot that video. Remember, the White House said this is a seasonal thing. It would slow down in the summer heat. No, it’s not. And no, it won’t. It’s because of policies. And these people keep coming and they’re not going to stop coming. And the images are getting more remarkable. Seemingly, with each trip we make.”
