Amber Athey: Biden Clearly Isn’t The Unifier-In-Chief The Media Told You He Was Going To Be
Washington Editor for The Spectator Amber Athey joins Fox Across America With guest host Ben Domenech to talk about why she feels President Biden has been a divisive leader, despite constantly claiming one of his main goals is to unite a divided country.
“I don’t think that nickname or that moniker that the media tried to give to him on the campaign trail was even true at that time, because he had a long history of speaking very poorly of his political opponents, regardless of this sort of perception of him being a bipartisan unifier. But it’s been even worse since he took office. I mean, if we go back to the way he talked about the unvaccinated and promising them that they were going to have a winter of severe death and illness or the way that he continues to invoke the former president as somehow, an inciter of violence who controlled the entire Republican Party, and then these recent comments about the protests of the Supreme Court justices in his response in particular to the attempted assassination of Brett Kavanaugh. This is a guy who speaks about his political opponents more aggressively than some members of the Squad. So the idea that he is a unifier-in-chief is absolutely ridiculous and I don’t think was ever really based in reality. That was something that the media created to try to make him seem like a palatable alternative to a guy who tweeted things that they didn’t like.”
