Ilya Shapiro: Administrators At Our Academic Institutions Are Kowtowing To A Radical, Illiberal Mob
Former executive director of Georgetown Law’s Center for the Constitution Ilya Shapiro joins Fox Across America With guest host Ben Domenech to shed light on how administrators at colleges and universities are complicit in the stifling of free speech on their campuses.
“I want to be clear, because some people might think, well, you know, campuses, universities have long been Left- wing bastions. This is nothing new. I tell you, this is not about the ratio of liberal to moderate to conservative professors vs. students. When I was in college 25 years ago, when I was in law school 20 years ago, I don’t think those ratios have shifted all that much. That’s not the point. It’s about administrators kowtowing to a radical, illiberal mob that allows a brooks no dissent from a rigid ideological orthodoxy. It’s an extreme chilling effect of the extremely toxic environment that goes against any educational mission. We talk about speaking the truth, debating ideas, all of these sorts of things.”
Ilya also talks about the recent threats against Supreme Court justices ahead of a major decision which could overturn Roe V. Wade. Listen to the podcast to hear what else he had to say!
