Carrie Severino: Congress Must Take Action To Protect Supreme Court Justices
Judicial Crisis Network President Carrie Severino joins Fox Across America With guest host Sean Duffy to share her reaction to an armed suspected being arrested on Wednesday near the home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
“This could have been such a tragedy, and I’m shocked by the lack of outcry across the board. This is something that I think if you if you talked even before this to the average American, Democrat, Republican, they recognize people should be protesting at the court, not in front of justices’ homes. That crosses the line of privacy and really of safety. And now we’re seeing why that’s the case. And so I’m just really disappointed that the president, while he has thankfully agreed that actually threatening to assassinate a justice is out of line, kudos to him for that. But we’re not seeing someone saying, you know what, it’s time to stand down and these protests take it to the court. You had people marching in front of his house even last night in the wake of all this. How tone deaf can you be to what’s really going on with these justices who are real people, who have real families in real danger?”
Carrie also tells Sean why it’s imperative Congress pass legislation to provide more security for Supreme Court justices. Listen to the podcast to hear what else she had to say!
