Ari Fleischer Calls RNC Withdrawing From Commission On Presidential Debates ‘Overdue’

Ari Fleischer, Former WH Press Secretary, Fox News Contributor joined the Guy Benson Show to react to the RNC’s decision to withdraw from the commission on Presidential debates.

Fleischer reacted to the decision saying,

“Yeah, this was overdue. The debate commission and the journalists who hosted these debates have become the Victorian guard of the old school establishment media. And that’s just not America anymore. And what really needs to happen is the two campaigns to go at it and organize and conduct the devotions and sponsor debates, which is what they’ll do. For heaven’s sakes. That’s what both parties do in their primaries. There’s no presidential commission in charge of the Republican primary debates, of which there are about a dozen. Last cycle, the Democrats had more than a dozen debates last cycle that they agreed to among themselves. So it can be done, it will be done and should be done by direct negotiation.”
