How FOX News’ Benjamin Hall Made It Out Of Ukraine
As Russia continues its brutal invasion of Ukraine, many stories of bravery and heroism are emerging.
While reporting on the tragic war in Ukraine, a FOX News crew was attacked outside of Kyiv. FOX News cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski and journalist Sasha Kuvshynova were killed in the attack while FOX News Correspondent Benjamin Hall suffered grave injuries.
Hall is now safe and recovering in a U.S. military hospital in Germany thanks to a group called Save Our Allies, whose team of experts and volunteers risked their own lives to bring him to safety.
Earlier this week on The FOX News Rundown, Host Dave Anthony spoke to the organization’s Co-Founder Sarah Verardo about how they reached the FOX crew, the organization’s origins with the collapse of Afghanistan, and why their mission means so much to her.
Verardo shared in great detail the amount of work and risk that went into the rescue and how they overcame numerous logistic and safety concerns.
Due to time limitations, we could not include all of the interviews in our original segment. On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear our entire interview with Save Our Allies co-founder Sarah Verardo and learn more about the great work her organization has done in conflict zones and what inspired her to devote so much of her life to helping those who are in danger.
