On Friday March 18th, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed a bill to temporarily suspend the collection of his state’s gas tax, aimed at providing relief to Georgians facing high prices at the pumps. This legislative move comes as Kemp is in the middle of a re-election campaign, preparing to face a GOP primary challenge from former Senator David Perdue. They will square off in May to see who will face the presumptive Democratic nominee, Stacey Abrams in November.
