Controversy Over Keystone XL: Could the Pipeline Ease Prices at the Pump?

The Biden administration’s ban on Russian energy imports has prompted a spike in energy prices in the U.S. However, the President was unsuccessful when reaching out to Saudi Arabia and the UAE to boost oil exports. President Biden halted the Keystone XL pipeline in 2021 citing environmental concerns, but some are using the nation’s oil predicament as a reason to revive the project. Congressman Buddy Carter (R-GA) joins to explain why he introduced legislation to restart the Keystone XL pipeline, how U.S. energy independence relates to national security, and his desire to ease the regulatory burdens on energy production.
