FOX News Rundown EXTRA: When America’s Drug Crisis Hits Home

Over about the first year of the Coronavirus pandemic, from last April to this April, more than a 100,000 Americans died of a drug overdose, according to Centers For Disease Control. That is up nearly 29% from just the year before.

State and local governments are making efforts to curb those deaths, including New York City’s recent opening of overdose prevention centers, but some addiction advocates say not enough is being done.

On The FOX News Rundown earlier this week, host Chris Foster spoke to Brittany Adams-Kelly, whose brother Matt died in 2017 from an overdose.

Brittany Adams-Kelly discussed her brother’s story, what the families of addicts can learn from it and what can be done to address America’s growing overdose crisis.

The original interview was too long and we couldn’t include all of it in our segment. On The FOX News Rundown EXTRA, you will hear our entire conversation with Brittany Adams-Kelly and hear more of her incredible story and why the foundation she co-founded is so focused on harm reduction.
