Energy prices have become a major headache for the Biden administration, with the soaring gas prices forcing the President to urge OPEC to increase oil production. Several lawmakers are encouraging the administration to tap into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Republican Congressman John R. Curtis of Utah’s 3rd Congressional District joins to discuss the high energy prices Americans are facing and why he believes the Biden administration has been offering the wrong solutions. The CDC is busy with much more than the COVID-19 pandemic. The agency is also tracking a serious drug problem in the U.S. For the first time ever the CDC data shows that in a 12-month period more 100-thousand Americans have died due to drug overdoses — an almost 29-percent increase from the year before. Authorities are also seeing an increase in lethal fentanyl laced drugs being distributed across the country. Many district attorneys in California including in Orange County, will now pursue murder charges against drug dealers, if someone dies as a result of using drugs linked to them.
