Evening Edition: Truck Driver Shortage Worsens Supply Chain Problems

Even before COVID-19 began there was a shortage of truck drivers in the United States and with the lack of training during the pandemic the situation has gotten worse. Issues of unloading container ships remains a major problem but the issue of getting goods to consumers starts with a shortage of trucks transporting those goods. FOX’s John Saucier speaks to Professor Ed Anderson, at the McCombs School of Business, about some of the root causes of the supply chain issues and what we should expect approaching the holiday shopping season.
