Reporting on the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan is neither easy nor safe, and journalists trying to get the story out on the struggling country still face many obstacles from a Taliban who says they have changed their ways. The situation there remains tense with Americans still stuck and hundreds of Afghans flocking to the passport office in Kabul to get the documents, while Taliban security men beat back crowds to maintain order.
