General Jack Keane: ‘Stain On Our National Honor’ That We Left American Citizens And Afghan Partners In Afghanistan

General Jack Keane, retired 4 star general, the chairman of the Institute for the Study of War and Fox News Senior Strategic Analyst joined Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson Show to react to President Biden’s remarks about ending the war in Afghanistan and bringing home American troops.

General Jack Keane had this to say,
“The world just became a more dangerous place, not only for the United States, but certainly for our allied partners. I wish the president would just talk straight to the American people. And I’m telling you, why don’t we feel good about all of this? We don’t feel good because we’ve watched the national disgrace take place. The American people, over 85 percent of them, regardless of what their party affiliation is, Democrat or Republican or independent, all disagree with the fact that we have left American citizens and tens of thousands of Afghan partners in Afghanistan. That is a shameful betrayal and it’s a stain on our national honor that will take years for that to evolve where we don’t have a lousy taste in our mouths about everything that we see unfolding before our eyes. And he’s minimizing the amount of American citizens that are still there. We already know there’s a certain percentage of American citizens who don’t want to come out because of family ties. That’s not the issue. The issue is the hundreds and possibly over a thousand other American citizens who we know were there. We have done nothing about getting citizens out who cannot get the Kabul American citizens who are stranded in other parts of Afghanistan. There’s been no provisions made to go get them at a date, certain at a time, certain to pick up place and get that job done.”
