“This is one of the lowest moments in our history. I don’t know how a country so great and with such a military so respected can betray your allies, can surrender to terrorism, can lead thousands of Americans right now behind enemy lines and essentially tell the whole world that you’re no longer reliable, that you are a weak partner. And to me, it is tragic. It’s dangerous, wholly preventable, no question about it. We’re inundated with desperate folks calling us for help with getting former employees out, interpreters, students, families who’ve been left behind by the Biden administration right now in Afghanistan. We’ve been working with nonprofits on a whole plane load trying to get people out of Afghanistan into other countries and eventually the U.S. It’s just a terrible moment.”
