Andrew Sullivan, Editor of The Weekly Dish & author of the new book Out on a Limb: Selected Writing, 1989-2021, spoke to Brian Kilmeade about pushing back against woke culture. Sullivan explained that when he was writing a piece on the rioting and looting in major cities he was told he could not use the word riot because it was offensive. Sullivan said at that point he decided after a year of being woke-checked he needed to go out on his own to tell the truth as he sees it. Sullivan also discussed his problems with the left constantly calling America a racist county. Sullivan said he came to America because he loves freedom and individuality. Sullivan believes we need to fight threats from the left who are turning us into these racial groupings that divide us from one another. Sullivan also explained how religion played a huge role in keeping the country together and giving everyone a sense of direction and ultimate meaning. Sullivan said we don’t appreciate what Christianity did and how each of us have a soul under the eyes of God and how that is the core of our equality and from that came democracy.
