Mike Eruzione, Captain of the Gold Medal 1980 ‘Miracle On Ice’ USA Hockey team, joined Brian Kilmeade to discuss US hammer thrower Gwen Berry disrespecting the American Flag. Eruzione feels Berry has a right to her opinion but the Olympics are not the forum to protest the American Flag. Eruzione thinks Berry should go to our military bases, go to our first responders and talk to them about what the flag and the anthem means to them. When asked about college athletes being able to earn money off their names and likeness, Eruzione said he doesn’t like the idea because it will only specialize in certain players, certain teams, certain sports, mostly football & basketball. Eruzione asks, what about the minor athletes? What about the women who play sports that don’t have the attendance at games? Erozione also worries how this will affect the team atmosphere where some players who are bigger names are making a lot of money.
