On today’s Guy Benson Show, South Carolina Congresswomen Nancy Mace (R-SC) blasted the Biden Administration’s self proclaimed ‘bold and ambitious’ school reopening plan. The plan has a goal to reopen 50% of schools for one day of in-person learning each week by April.
Congresswomen Nancy Mace responded to Biden’s school reopening plan saying,
“I wholeheartedly disagree. Reopening 50 percent of schools one day a week is not bold and ambitious and doing it by May, when schools are just about done for the year is outrageous. I mean, I’m a single mom. I’ve got two middle schoolers. And I got to tell you, it’s I’ve seen the challenges. I have had one child that took two online learning. I have another that is really, really struggling. And they have two working parents that work full time. And we can’t sit there with our children all day, five days a week doing school work. And so there are many parents this is not a Republican or Democrat issue. This is an American issue. There are people who need their kids back in school. And the science tells us, the CDC tells us that the science overwhelming says schools who have certain precautions and measures in place pose a very minimal risk to students and educators. Regarding the spread of covid, I mean, I know in my own district we have a county where it’s their in school five days a week, and it’s one half of one percent of students may have covid at any given time. And so it is safe. We can take precautions and be safe and our kids need to be back in school or folks will be back at work. And when you get vaccinations and arms, that’s what our country needs to do right now.”
