On today’s Guy Benson Show, Chris Christie, Former Governor of New Jersey spoke about the ongoing impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump and Bruce Springsteen’s Jeep Commercial.

Chris Christie said,

“I think Jamie Raskin has done a credible job so far. He clearly has. You know, when you’re a prosecutor, not only do you like to have the facts on your side, but if you can you like to have emotion on your side. He’s got emotion on his side in this one. Those are very, very difficult images to watch.”

Christie added,

“I think it’s kind of funny for Bruce Springsteen, as much as I love his music to be asking people to meet in the middle because Bruce’s middle, it seems to me is like Las Vegas if we’re talking about the middle of the country. And and I you know, I don’t understand that one. I understand he may have made a lot of money from doing that ad. And God bless him. I don’t I don’t, you know, take anything away from people who are in a capitalist society, want to make money. But I thought it was kind of out of place and I don’t think he was the right messenger. And lastly, you know, you’re always a little bit suspicious of a guy from New Jersey wearing a cowboy hat…….. You know, listen, you know, Bruce sometimes sings with that accent, which makes you think he’s like from South Freehold. But, you know, there’s a little bit of that that’s been a stream that’s run through his career. But I think, fair to say, was not my favorite commercial because it wasn’t authentic.”
