Senator Dr. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) joined Brian Kilmeade to discuss the first presidential debate and explain where President Trump needed to improve his messaging. Cassidy liked President Trump’s line saying he did more in 47 months than Biden did in 47 years but felt the president needed to drill down on how we are at record low unemployment for various groups including African-Americans, veterans and women. Another area Cassidy said he hoped President Trump would have made a better case for is how his administration helped make health insurance more affordable and drastically reduce premiums for middle class Americans. On dealing with the coronavirus, Cassidy supports President Trump’s handling of the pandemic and the Trump administrations plans to distribute a vaccine but feels this was another area the President could have done a better job explaining.
