Jon Ponder: I Have Not Experienced “Anything Remotely Close To Racism” With President Trump
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Jon Ponder, the founder of Hope For Prisoners who was granted a full pardon by President Trump during the Republican National Convention, talked about his personal interactions with the President after MSNBC commentators criticized the African-Americans who spoke during the RNC.
“The comments that I’ve heard that people are making right now, even down to the point of calling him a racist, I have to tell you that as a Black American, I’ve experienced racism. My mom grew up in the South. So I heard the stories about it. So I know what racism looks like. And over the past two and a half years, my interactions with the President has been nothing short of genuine sincerity, not out of some kind of hidden agenda. But I have not experienced anything that would be remotely close to racism.”
