Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ): If Pelosi Really Cared About People, We’d Get A COVID Relief Deal Done
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) places the blame on Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats for not being able to get a coronavirus relief deal done in the House or in the Senate.
“We don’t want to see bills that suddenly have to do with illegal immigration and taking the wall down and not having borders and having cities and towns and counties that are sanctuaries, all those types of things, and much, much more, do not belong at the bill. And the President offered, and actually the Republicans, we would have absolutely gone along if we said let’s do something for a week or two or three while we’re hashing this out on a temporary level just to make sure that people are OK. If she really cared if people were hungry, if she really cared if people needed help, you wouldn’t hold this up and you’d do something on a temporary level so you could eventually try to get to a permanent level.”
