“Portrays Weakness, Ignorance, Stupidity & No Respect For The Rule Of Law” Judge Andrew Napolitano On Trump’s Tweet Suggesting To Delay Election
Judge Andrew Napolitano, Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst & Host of the new Fox Nation show “Liberty File” spoke with Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson about Trump’s Tweet suggesting to delay the November election due to mail-in voting.
Tweet:
With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 30, 2020
Judge Napolitano sounded off on the tweet. Saying,
“This is the exactly wrong message to come from the president of the United States at this stage of the campaign. The election is set, It is set in stone. It has been the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November since 1848. Leading members of his own party, including Senator Mitch McConnell, have said forget about it. But this is a president who likes to portray strength. This portrays weakness, ignorance, stupidity and no respect for the rule of law. I don’t know how I could be any harsher in my criticism of that.”
