Mollie Hemingway On Media’s Coverage Of Trump Rushmore Speech: “They Just Invented Things That Didn’t Happen”
Mollie Hemingway Senior Editor at The Federalist, Fox News Contributor & Co-Author of Justice on Trial spoke with Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson about the media’s Coverage Of Trump’s Rushmore Speech. Hemingway said,
“It was so alarming to see the media coverage of that, because regardless of your reasonable feelings about the speech or the president, what happened with the media coverage was that they just invented things that didn’t happen. So the speech, I thought, was extremely well-written and did such a good job of praising American heroes, founding fathers and people throughout our history. It was explicitly denouncing racism, explicitly denouncing hatred and bigotry. And then the media coverage of it said it was dark and divisive. It was a call to unity. It was anything but dark and divisive.”
