Howard Kittell, President & CEO for the Andrew Jackson Hermitage, spoke with Brian Kilmeade about the war on history targeting historical statues, including those of President Andrew Jackson in New Orleans, Jacksonville and Lafayette Park in Washington D.C. Kittell believes some people today see Jackson as a slave owner representing social injustice and the Indian Removal Act. Kittell said seeing our historical statues being pulled down remind him of the beginning of the Revolutionary War when Bostonians took down the statue of King George which represented the overthrow of an idea.
