Acting Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security Chad Wolf spoke with Brian today about his department’s role in acquiring and distributing COVID-19 testing kits.
When asked about some governors expressing concern about not being able to secure enough tests, Wolf said, “Part of what the president’s talking about and the administration’s been talking about with governors is making sure that governors understand the capability and the capacity in each of their states and what we have found from time to time is a lot of the governors didn’t understand what their different both state and commercial labs within their individual states were capable of doing.”
Sec. Wolf also said DHS is “very concerned” about the number of visa programs that Chinese students can use to come into the country. “Some of these programs have potentially been abused in the past.”
