Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY), Chairwoman of the House Republican Conference and member of the House Armed Services committee, spoke with Brian Kilmeade about President Trump’s address to the nation on Iran and the Democrats refusing to support the President for ordering the strike that killed Iran General Qassem Soleimani. Cheney called it a sad state of affairs that democrats can’t stand to be in a position where they are being supportive of Trump taking the world’s deadliest terrorist off the planet. Cheney also thinks Senator Lee is flat wrong with his criticism of the White House’s Senate briefing. She said if Senator Lee or any other member of the House or the Senate are unhappy with the current authorizations granted to the President under Article 2 of the Constitution they should work to change that. When asked if President Trump should avoid being critical of the actions of previous Presidents in the Middle East, Cheney says she believes it is important to remind people of the situation that President Trump inherited when he came into office.
