Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue spoke with Brian Kilmeade about how a China trade deal will mean a lot for U.S. agriculture and the economy, especially farmers, by reducing our trade deficit with China. On the impact of passing the USMCA, Perdue says this will solidify the certainty between our two best trading partners, Canada and Mexico, for the foreseeable future.
Secretary Perdue also discussed reforms to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The reforms go back to the original intent of having able bodied adults, ages 18-49, without dependents, limited to three months of benefits in a three-year period unless they are working or participating in work training for at least 20 hours per week.
