Joe Theismann On Colin Kaepernick Sitting During The National Anthem: The American Flag Deserves Respect From Every Person In This Country
“Those 2 minutes are more than trying to make a statement. I certainly respect Colin Kaepernick for his opinion, for his right to be able to do it, the freedom of speech we have in this country but that’s what that flag represents. The fact that he has the opportunity to say the things he wants to say, and express himself on issues that are certainly major issues in this country, but I do believe that flag stands for an awful lot. My dad, when he was in the army, when he was buried, I was presented the American Flag. I believe that flag deserves the respect of every person in this country. And to me, what he did was not very respectful of the flag and he says it’s not disrespectful to the veterans but this his personal opinion and mine is different.”

Joe Theismann on Tony Romo suffering another major injury
(Kilmeade) Stunning news out of Dallas. One of the great guys in this league, Tony Romo, after coming off a season riddles with injuries, he fractures his vertebra on the first play in pre-season.
(Theismann) Tony should retire. Because life after football, he will have a life after football, he is placing himself in harm’s way. We haven’t even dealt with the fact that you are going to fall on that collar bone again, you are going to get knocked down, you are going to fall. In all likelihood, something may happen again. This is a recurring back issue. Tony has proven he is a great competitor, a true warrior in this game. He is one of the toughest son of a guns that has ever put on a uniform, but in my opinion, it’s time for him to say I can’t do it anymore, I start to put my family and my life at risk. I believe it’s time for Tony to think about life after the game.
